Sitala 2 needs a license. You can buy one here;
you’ll get a serial number by email.
The first time you open Sitala, it asks for your license:
E-mail — the email address you used when you bought Sitala.
Serial — the serial number from your license email.
Click Activate. You only need to do this once per computer: activating in the
standalone app or in any one DAW activates every version of Sitala on that
computer.
If you don’t have a license yet, Buy Now… opens the store. Once you’ve paid,
copy the license from the confirmation page; Sitala fills in your email and
serial, and you click Activate.
Using Sitala on more than one computer
You can use the same serial number to activate Sitala on all of your personal
computers, Mac or Windows. On a new computer, just install Sitala and enter your
email and serial again.
iPad and iPhone versions are sold separately through the App Store.
If Sitala is still activated on one of your computers, choose About… from the
options menu. It shows who Sitala is registered to and your serial number.
If activation doesn’t work
“Invalid” email or serial
Use the same email address you bought Sitala with. It’s easy to have more
than one.
Copy and paste the serial from your license email rather than typing it.
Make sure you’re entering the serial number from your license email, not the
order or transaction number from your payment receipt.
“Couldn’t connect to activation server”
Activation needs an internet connection, once. If your computer is online and you
still see this:
Check whether a firewall or network filter is blocking Sitala.
Very old versions of Windows may not support the secure connection the server
needs. Make sure Windows is up to date.
Or use offline activation, below.
Offline activation
For studio computers that are never connected to the internet:
On the offline computer, open Sitala. The activation dialog shows a
Machine ID. Copy it down.
On a computer that’s online, go to
Offline Activation, enter
your email, serial and the Machine ID, and download the activation file.
Copy the activation file to the offline computer and drag it onto Sitala’s
activation dialog.
Updates
Sitala checks for updates now and then when it starts. When there’s a new version,
it shows what’s new, with buttons to Download it, Skip this version or
Remind me later.
To check right away, choose Check for Updates Now… from the options menu.
